UNDERGRAD OFFER SCHEME DURING CLEARING 2008
The summer when A Level results come out is pivotal for students going to University.
Students are getting ready to start a new and exciting phase of their lives. For
many it will be their first experience of living away from home. Students and their
families are ready and willing to spend money at this time to ensure they are well
equipped for this new phase
WHAT IS UNDERGRAD?
Undergrad provides a channel by which you can engage with these brand new UK students
before they leave home to start University and during their first few weeks of term.
Essentially it is a “Pre-Fresher’s Fayre” that will be stocked with third party
offers and information relevant to new University students. In the past it has run
from A-Level results day up until the first day of term at University, this year
we are extending the scheme to run from A-Level results day till mid October. It
uses the immediacy of email and web activity to offer a compelling communication
platform from which to market goods and services to this elusive and valuable audience.
This year Undergrad will be hosted on our yougofurther site and all partners will
benefit from:
- Partner Page on yougofurther - this will detail any offer and/or information you
wish to communicate and can link to your website;
- Logo and advert on yougofurther homepage that will link through to your partner
page;
- Presence in 4 email newsletters (2 to existing yougo members and 2 to newly accepted
UCAS applicants);
- Emails will be sent to all applicants accepted to University or college
- The email database is opt-in therefore applicants want to receive information
- Your brand would be one of x partners advertising within the email
- Your brand will receive a mention within the copy, a logo and link to your own website
Traffic during this time period is typically around 600,000 page views per day from
a base of around 300,000 users.
The Undergrad scheme will be promoted via a teaser ad on UCAS.com during the run
up to A-Level results day as well as a button advert that will link to the yougofurther
site (where Undergrad will sit) on the UCAS.com homepage during the course of the
scheme.
From other activities undertaken, there is a track record of this audience being
open to receiving and redeeming offers and information.
Participation in the scheme will allow you to target everyone who has been accepted
to University or college* at a point where they become independent consumers.
Cost
The cost to be a partner on the Undergrad scheme is £15,000 + VAT
